A former high ranking officer; the victim of a misfortune.
friendly. careless.
Yukio was the first born in his family, so he took his big brother responsibilities very seriously. He loves his younger brother, but is somewhat oblivious about his brother's feelings. Despite so, he tried his best in raising his brother after their parents left them.
While he tried his best to become the perfect brother, he is rather careless. He made small mistakes on a daily basis, though he tried to not let it bother him. He typically just focused on doing what he had to do.
Despite being inherently friendly, he didn't get many opportunities to make new friends. He was childhood friends with Faye, treating him like a second younger brother. Yukio didn't realize it, but his brother was jealous at his attention for Faye.
At the age of 15, Yukio's father decided to abdicate and leave the house for good with his wife, leaving Yukio to take over whatever his father left for him. In other words, Yukio was forced to take on the responsibilities of a Lord and take care of his younger brother. While raised knowing that he would inherit his father's legacy, Yukio was underprepared at the time. He did his best, but he made a lot of mistakes.
Naturally, Yukio was assisted by his family servants in raising his younger brother, but the younger brother was especially clingy towards Yukio. He never opened up to the family servants, so Yukio had to be there around the clock despite having other responsibilities, resulting in Yukio missing some Lord meetings and unable to meet other people.
A year after inheriting his father's title, his younger brother accidentally activated his powers (normally impossible: the boy was born with innate aptitude for magic, so the patron Spirit lent their strength momentarily when they felt the younger brother's envy). Yukio sacrificed himself to seal the boy's power away, losing his life in the process. In the aftermath, his brother woke up with amnesia, and the head family servant decided to raise the younger brother without telling the young boy of the tragedy.
